Cleveland Browns linebacker Mychal Kendrick’s, who won the 2018 Super Bowl as a member of the Philadelphia Eagles, has been charged with insider trading by federal prosecutors. In a shocking move, Mychal Kendricks released the above statement, in which he admitted guilt and confirmed that he indeed did participate in insider trading while he was a member of the Philadelphia Eagles. It’s surprising that Mychal Kendricks would admit guilt before letting the legal process play out, federal prosecutors must have him dead to rights on these charges, and it will be interesting too see what else comes out as a result of this investigation. The Hard Knocks 2018 finale just got a little more interesting.
UPDATE: Mychal Kendricks made $1.2 million in four separate investments which were flagged as insider trading four years ago, he and his partner television writer Damilare Sonoiki have both been charged with insider trading by federal investigators, and both admit wrongdoing and are cooperating with officials. If convicted, both Kendricks and Sonoiki face substantial prison time, and by admitting guilt they hoping for more lenient sentences.
UPDATE: The Browns cut Mychal Kendricks.
