North Carolina Teacher Rebecca Swinson Arrested For Sex With Students

JournalNow A former East Forsyth High School teacher is accused of having sex with a male student and taking incident liberties with another male student on the school’s campus, according to court records and Kernersville police. Rebecca Carol Swinson, 38, of Ridgeview Avenue in Winston-Salem is charged with 16 counts of indecent liberties with two students and three counts of sex acts with one of the students, arrest warrants show. Kernersville police began investigating the case on July 30, police said. Investigators declined to say how they learned about the allegations against Swinson. Officer Blake Jones, a spokesman for the Kernersville Police Department, said that the offenses happened during the fall semester of 2017 on the campus of East Forsyth High School. According to the arrest warrants, some of the offenses happened in early November 2017. Both of the boys attended East Forsyth High School, and were under the age of 18, Jones said. James Quander of Winston-Salem, Swinson’s attorney, issued a statement on his client’s behalf Tuesday afternoon. “Rebecca Swinson was an English teacher, cross country coach and (a) member of the East Forsyth High School community for five years,” the statement said. “When Rebecca learned of the charges against her, she cooperated with law enforcement and turned herself in. “Due to the nature of the charges, it is tempting to rush to judgment; however, we would caution the public against doing so,” the statement said. “This is a very difficult time for Rebecca, her family, and (her) dear friends. “We would ask that she and all of the individuals involved be given privacy,” the statement said. “We have great confidence in the legal process, and that justice will be served for Rebecca and those involved.” Swinson was being held Tuesday in the Forsyth County Jail with her bond set at $150,000, police said. She was later released from custody after she posted bond, court records show.

Another day in America, another female teacher gets busted for having sex with her students, this time the perpetrator is 38-year-old Rebecca Carol Swinson of East Forsyth High School in North Carolina. Rebecca Swinson was charged with three counts of sex acts with one male student, and allegedly “took liberties” with another male student (whatever that means), both students under the age of eighteen. As always, these students are not victims, they got to live out the fantasy of every teenage boy in America when they got to have sex with one of their teachers. These students are probably legends amongst their classmates, but we do feel bad for them, because they likely have extremely sore shoulders from all the high fives they have been receiving. These kids are basically getting to live out the Van Halen Hot For Teacher music video and, while they are victims in the eyes of the law, every other teenager in America wishes they would be victimized by their female teachers in this way.
