Washington issued this statement: “RB Derrius Guice and TE Manasseh Garner will miss the 2018 season due to ACL injuries sustained from last night's preseason game at the New England. Both players are expected to make a full recovery and are looking forward to playing in 2019.”

Horrible news for Washington Redskins fans, as rookie running back Derrius Guice is out for the season, after suffering a torn ACL during last night’s preseason loss to the New England Patriots. By all accounts, Derrius Guice was extremely impressive at Redskins camp, and was expected to be featured heavily in the Redskins offense from the start of the season. Based on training camp reports, Guice was also climbing fantasy draft boards, and ESPN fantasy football expert Matt Berry was calling Guice his “2018 fantasy football ride or die.”
Derrius Guice is now the leader for player that someone selects in the third round of your fantasy football draft thinking that they are smart, and you have to decide if that idiot should be allowed to make another pick or be forced to keep Guice, after you shame them for picking an injured player.
With Guice our for the season, players such as Samaje Perine and Fat Rob Kelly who may have struggled to get touches or even make the team, suddenly have value again.
Get well soon Derrius Guice.
