Josh Rosen was selected tenth overall in the 2018 NFL Draft by the Arizona Cardinals, who traded up to make Rosen their quarterback of the future, and since the draft Rosen’s girlfriend UCLA volleyball player Zara Muno has been dragged into the spotlight by no fault of her own. Cleveland Browns Vice President Of Player Personnel Alonzo Highsmith discussed running into the UCLA women’s volleyball team at an airport following the draft saying “I was at an airport, UCLA’s volleyball team was in front of me. You heard so much about Rosen. He’s this or that. We all know how people talk. So I asked one of the volleyball coaches, ‘What’s Rosen like?’ He said, ‘Aaaaa, you should probably ask his girlfriend. She’s one of the players. She’s over there.’ I’m like, ‘All right, coach. That’s good enough.’” I am not sure how that interaction possibly soured Highsmith on Rosen as an NFL Draft prospect, but it did, and Rosen has since fired back at Highsmith and the Browns saying “I thought it was interesting that he didn’t talk to my girlfriend. Maybe he was scared of someone actually saying something good about me? I don’t know, I thought it was funny. It’s amazing that you can pull a red flag out of zero information. Like, he literally pulled absolutely no information from this encounter and it managed to be a red flag.” So Josh Rosen’s girlfriend Zana Muno was dragged into controversy after the draft by a non-interaction with Alonzo Highsmith, but meanwhile Zana Muno lead the UCLA Bruins to their first ever Women’s Beach Volleyball National Championship over the weekend, oh and her boyfriend is now a millionaire who is the face of an NFL franchise.
