Saquon Barkley Laying It On Thick For The Giants

The top running back in the 2018 NFL Draft, Penn State star Saquon Barkley, was getting a haircut at a Pennsylvania barbershop boldly wearing a New York Giants hoodie just two weeks before the NFL Draft in these photos obtained by TMZSports. Of course, the Giants have the second overall pick in the draft, and with the Cleveland Browns expected to take a quarterback first overall it seems that Saquon will be available. Saquon Barkley was born in the Bronx, so wanting to go home to New York has to be enticing, plus being a star in New York comes with huge endorsement deals. However, the New York Giants have a ton of other needs and taking a running back is a luxury pick at second overall, even if he is a potential culture altering superstar. In our 2018 NFL Mock Draft, we project the New York Giants to select Saquon Barkley, but we note all of the trade down rumors and that trading down is the most likely option.

NOTE: Saquon Barkley’s camp says that the New York Giants hoodie was swag that the Giants gave Saquon when he met with the team, and it was laying around when he was heading to the barbershop so he grabbed it and put it on. We are not buying that for a second, Saquon was showing the Giants that he looks good in blue and he wants to come to New York, you do not see any photos circulating of Barkley in a Cleveland Browns hoodie.
