It did not take long for Giancarlo Stanton to start earning his monstrous paycheck from the New York Yankees, Stanton went 3-5 with two home runs and a double with four RBIs and three runs scored in the 2018 season opening 6-1 win over the Toronto Blue Jays, and New York City is a absolutely buzzing over Stanton’s incredible debut. It only took a few pitches, but Stanton proved how dangerous the Yankees lineup will be in 2018, and how much fun they are going to be to watch. After raising some questions by acquiring Stanton, and adding the reigning NL MVP to a lineup that nearly powered the Yankees to the World Series last season in what many called an unnecessary to an already great young roster, Stanton quickly proved his worth and quickly began his own chapter of Yankee lore. 2018 is going to be fun.
