NYDailyNewsFree agent Jamil Wilson was set to sign a 10-day contract with the Lakers, but Los Angeles backed out of the deal when his name was mentioned in a lawsuit from an ex-girlfriend. She claims that Wilson, 27, knew he had an STD while they were dating and never told her even though the pair continued to have unprotected sex. “Jamil has been irreparably harmed by the recent accusation, which has now resulted in damage to his NBA career,” Wilson’s agent Steve McCaskill told ESPN. “We will not tolerate these false accusations, but will pursue all legal remedies with the full force of the law.” The lawsuit was filed in Los Angeles County Superior Court. Wilson would’ve been active for the Lakers’ game against the Spurs on Thursday if the team would’ve gone ahead with the deal.

The woman is suing Wilson for sexual battery, because she was diagnosed with herpes simplex two, and claims that Jamil Wilson knew that he had herpes and had unprotected sex with her anyway without warning her first. According to TMZ, The woman is suing for sexual battery and fraud — claiming her consent was based on the assumption he was disease-free. She’s also seeking damages for emotional distress. This woman had better not be another jersey chasing gold digger, who thought she landed herself an NBA baller, and is spreading false accusations and filing frivolous lawsuits because Wilson kicked her to the curb. There are two sides to this story, and while we are not saying her accusations are false, we are saying that we have seemed scorned women who thought they had landed an athlete make similar false claims when they get dumped. This woman has done major damage to Jamil Wilson, she cost him a contract with with Lakers, and a massive amount of future earnings. We are not saying that this woman’s allegations are false, but if they are and if Wilson can prove he is herpes free or that he was unaware he had herpes when he was having sex with this woman, Wilson should be able to counter sue this woman for the value of that ripped up Lakers contract.
