Watch Jean Claude Van Damme Kick Cody Garbrandt In The Face (Video)

Martial Arts legend Jean Claude Van Damme visited Team Alpha Male in Sacramento, California, where he was showing kicking techniques to Chris Holdsworth and former UFC Bantamweight Champion Cody Garbrandt, and afterwards Garbrandt and JCVD decided to spar lightly. That’s when Van Damme accidentally caught Garbrandt right in the teeth with a hook kick, angering the former Champion, and the whole incident was caught on video. A notorious hothead, Garbrandt stormed off and left the training facility, admitting that he was close to retaliating and attacking JCVD. According to witnesses, Van Damme was extremely apologetic, and them dropped to his knees and sobbed which caused people to think Garbrandt hit him back. The two apparently made up afterwards, and hung out together, after the two were put in the same room and Van Damme apologized for connecting with that kick. Anyone who has ever trained knows that accidents like this happen, even while sparring lightly, so always wear a mouthguard just in case Frank Dux from Bloodsport has a Kumite flashback and blasts you in the teeth with a hook kick.
