MetroAn Oklahoma school district handed over the huge sum to settle a lawsuit claiming it tried to cover up what had happened. Former teacher Jennifer Caswell, 31, was sentenced to ten years in prison following revelations she had slept with the 15-year-old in 2015. At the time, she appeared on Dr Phil and said she felt ‘terrified’ after the encounter and ‘couldn’t believe I’d done something like that’. Talking about how the incident unfolded, she said: ‘He came in, I was working on things. He kept coming closer to me and I would walk away to another part, another area of the classroom. ‘He just walked up to me and kissed me, and it kinda went from there.’ Caswell said the student was in her classroom for around two hours, but the sexual activity lasted around ‘ten to 15 minutes’. Probed on exactly how the sex happened, she explained: ‘I was walking around the classroom straightening up the desks and, I guess it was standing up. I kept on saying ‘no, no we can’t do this’. I mean, he wasn’t forcing me, I could have easily just walked out of my classroom, but I didn’t. But I was resisting, because I knew it was wrong.’ A lawyer for the victim’s family said he was left traumatized by the incident, reports NewsOK. Attorney Charles Watts said: ‘The truth is that this has a terrible effect on a child. You can expect in his future life that he will have a hard time with relationships.’ The family laid out a lawsuit in which is accused the school of trying to cover up Caswell’s actions by asking the victim not to talk about what had happened. School district attorney Andy Fugitt said the school reported the matter to police around the time Caswell resigned. He said: ‘The school district responded to the information it had — which was very limited — in an appropriate way.’
This Oklahoma teacher Jennifer Caswell seems to have a warped sense of reality, her description of when she had sex with a fifteen-year-old student in her classroom makes her sound like the victim, and the vivid details sound like they are right out of a porno. Jennifer Caswell says the student was the aggressor, the fifteen-year-old walked up to her and started kissing her, and while the student did not force her to have sex with him Jennifer Caswell claims she was resisting. If Jennifer Caswell was really resisting, she would not have had sex with a fifteen-year-old, and would not be starting a ten year sentence in prison. Jennifer Caswell needs to look up what resisting means in the dictionary.
Once again, South Park nailed America’s reaction when a teacher has sex with a student:
P.S. Doesn’t Jennifer Caswell kind of look like Sue Ellen Mischke from Seinfeld?
