NYDailyNewsFor the second time in less than a year, Jets wide receiver Robby Anderson is in trouble with the law. And this time, the alleged details are very ugly. Anderson was arrested early Friday morning in Sunrise, Florida, the Broward County Sheriff’s Office confirmed to the Daily News. According to the police report, after being arrested and placed in the back seat of the police vehicle, Anderson “stated that when he got out he was going to find (the officer’s) wife, f-k her and n-t in her eye.” Anderson proceeded to make more verbal threats to the officer’s family, according to the report. “Based on his statements,” the report reads, “it was clear that he intended to sexually assault my wife. He also began to brag about how much money he has.” Anderson was driving 105 mph in a 45-mph zone, according to the report, and he drove at that speed for .75 miles. He allegedly ran two red lights while speeding away from police. Anderson was driving “all over the roadway and failed to maintain a single lane on numerous occasions,” according to the report. Anderson eventually stopped and surrendered, police said. While initially trying to place Anderson in the back of the vehicle, the officer felt Anderson “brace, tense and refuse” to enter, per the report. Nine charges have been filed against Anderson, according to police records: resisting an officer/obstruction without violence; felony harm to a public servant or family; felony fleeing/eluding while lights/siren active; reckless driving; failure to drive in a single lane; two counts of disobeying/avoiding a red light; speeding; and turning without a signal. The arrest occurred at 2:15 a.m. According to records, Anderson is a resident of Sunrise, Florida, about 10 miles west of Fort Lauderdale. The arresting officer reported no indications of drug or alcohol influence. An NFL spokesman confirmed that the league is reviewing Anderson’s latest arrest under its personal conduct policy. Anderson could be suspended.
Robby Anderson was the New York Jets best offensive player during the 2017 season, he caught 63 passes for 941 yards and 7 touchdowns, but if he keeps up with his bad behavior off of the field he could find himself out of the NFL. In May, Robby Anderson was arrested after he fought with police at a music festival, and was arrested for felony resisting arrest with violence and misdemeanor obstruction of a police officer. Now Anderson has been arrested in Florida, after another fight with police, and the details of this arrest are even more disturbing. Anderson was driving 105mph in a 45mph zone, and for some reason was shocked that he was pulled over, he ran from police and swerved all over the roadway until eventually coming to a stop. After initially resisting arrest, Anderson was placed in the back of the police cruiser, where he began bragging about how much money he had and making numerous threats against the police officer’s family. The most egregious statement, which the cop specifically included in his report was, “when I get out I’m going to find her (the officer’s wife) fuck her and nut in her eye.” Anderson was arrested for felony harm to a public servant or family; felony fleeing/eluding while lights/siren active; reckless driving; failure to drive in a single lane; two counts of disobeying/avoiding a red light; speeding; and turning without a signal. Shockingly, Anderson was found to be completely sober, and if you threaten cops or fight with police officers while you are clear headed you are nuts. The Jets and the league are both investigating the situation, but it seems likely Anderson will be suspended, and the bright future of the Jets 24-year-old budding star is now in doubt.
