CantonRep A Cuyahoga Falls High School counselor has pleaded not guilty to charges that she had sex with a student. Rebecca Sparrow, 36, of Cuyahoga Falls, was charged with one count of sexual battery, a third-degree felony, in Summit County Common Pleas Court. A secret indictment filed with the court on April 19 alleges Sparrow engaged in “sexual conduct” with an individual enrolled at a school where she worked “on or about” Feb. 1 to May 23, 2016. A pretrial date has been set for April 30 before Judge Amy Corrigall Jones for Sparrow, who has been on paid leave from Cuyahoga Falls High School since Jan. 9. Sparrow had been placed on leave due to charges that she “engaged in conduct unbecoming of a teacher” some time in the 2015-16 school year, and that she revealed student information to a third party without permission, according to a Jan. 9 letter in her personnel file. Michael T. Callahan, who was listed as Sparrow’s attorney, said the case is pending and it would be inappropriate to comment at this time. Sparrow, who was arraigned Friday, started with the district at Bolich Middle School as a special education teacher in 2007. She worked there until 2015, when she went to the high school as a guidance counselor. She has been released on a personal recognizance bond and is barred from contacting the alleged victim in the case, according to court records.

We have seen many teachers get arrested for having sex with their students over the years at SportSmasher.com, however I believe this is only the second guidance counselor get arrested for providing sexual guidance to a student, the first being Kenleigh Prendergast from South Carolina. 36-year-old guidance counselor Rebecca Sparrow, who had been employed at Cuyahoga Falls High School for twelve years, was arrested and accused of having a sexual relationship with a 17-year-old male student in 2016. We here at SportSmasher.com are extremely jealous of this student, our guidance counselors in high school were not attractive 36-year-old women who were ready to provide sexual guidance like in a Naughty America porno film, in fact my guidance counselor was an assistant football coach who would call me into his office to review game film while he spit tobacco into an empty Gatorade bottle. As always, this is a victimless crime, this student got to live out every high school boy’s biggest fantasy when he got to have sex with his attractive 36-year-old guidance counselor. The “victim” here likely became the most popular kid in school, was immediately nicknamed “The Legend”, and every other student in school was jealous of his sexual conquest.
