Francis, 41, was arrested at a Los Angeles hotel Sunday night after police were called for a disturbance between two men, TMZ Sports reported. When police arrived, Francis was deemed drunk and arrested. He was released from jail around 7 a.m. PT and given a citation. Last week, Francis admitted in The Players’ Tribune that he battled alcohol problems during and after his career in the NBA. “I was drinking heavily, is what happened. And that can be just as bad. In the span of a few years I lost basketball, I lost my whole identity, and I lost my stepfather, who committed suicide,” he wrote.
