In my opinion the greatest fighter in UFC history Anderson “The Spider” Silva failed a USADA test for performance enhancing drugs, again, and he is now facing an eight year ban. This is Anderson Silva’s second failed drug test in four months, this time he failed for synthetic testosterone and a diuretic, during the previous offense he was pulled from a main event fight with Kelvin Gastelum after testing positive for two banned substances. An eight year ban would certainly mean the end of 42-year-old Anderson Silva’s career, but in the opinion of the staff here at SportSmasher.com, even if Silva’s ban is reduced he should probably retire anyway. This is like, if at the end of his career while playing for the Washington Wizards, Michael Jordan continually failed drug tests. It’s just getting sad, Anderson Silva is a living legend, and we want to remember him as one.
