The NBA trade deadline is a few weeks away, but the first big deal went down today, and it’s an absolute blockbuster. The Los Angeles Clippers traded superstar forward Blake Griffin to the Detroit Pistons, along with Brice Johnson and Willie Reed, and the Clippers are getting back Tobias Harris, Avery Bradley, Boban Marjanovic a first round pick and a second round pick. Wow. The Pistons did give up a lot to get Griffin, two starters, Tobias Harris is having a great season and while Avery Bradley is having a down year he is still one of the best perimeter defenders in the league. The Clippers are apparently not done, they are looking for trading partners for both center DeAndre Jordan and sixth man Lou Williams, they are blowing it up and going with a youth movement.
