Conrad Thompson is living out every professional wrestling fan’s dream. Conrad Thompson was the owner owner of 1st Family Mortgage in Alabama, but he befriended the greatest professional wrestler of all-time “The Nature Boy” Ric Flair, and is now set to become Ric Flair’s son-in-law as Conrad Thompson is engaged to Ric Flair’s daughter Meghan. A lot happened in between, as Conrad Thompson went from a self professed pro wrestling nerd, to the top wrestling podcast host in the world and king of a wrestling podcast empire. It all started when Conrad Thompson sat in on his friend Ric Flair’s first podcast to ask fan questions, Thompson soon became Flair’s cohost, and the podcast was excellent. However, Flair grew bored of doing the podcast every week and it ended, it’s still available on YouTube and some of my favorite episodes feature Hulk Hogan, Haku And Bret Hart. It was through this show that Conrad Thompson met “Brother Love” Bruce Prichard, a longtime member of the WWF/WWE/TNA creative team, and the two started a podcast called Something To Wrestle With Bruce Prichard. Something To Wrestle is in my opinion the greatest wrestling podcast of all-time, Bruce was there behind the scenes for many of the most memorable moments in professional wrestling history, and in many cases was advising Vince McMahon directly or even “wrote this shit” so he has all of the inside info on the business. Conrad Thompson is the perfect host, he is a huge wrestling fan who knows the “rumor and innuendo” of the business inside and out, which Bruce can confirm or deny (usually deny to Conrad’s dismay). The duo is also hilarious, and Bruce Pritchard’s impressions of everyone in the business from Jim Cornett to Jerry Jarrett to Pat Patterson to Randy Savage to Vince McMahon himself are ridiculously funny, the success has led to Something To Wrestle With Bruce Prichard to be named the Two Time Podcast Of The Year by Sports Illustrated. For you WCW fans our there, Conrad Thompson also hosts the successful What Happened When? with former WCW announcer Tony Schiavone.
So now the greatest wrestling podcast host ever Conrad Thompson is engaged to Meghan Fliehr, the daughter of the greatest professional wrestler of all-time “The Nature Boy” Ric Flair, and will be wrestling royalty by way of marriage. If Conrad Thompson was not already living every wrestling fan’s dream, he can now call Ric Flair “Dad”, how cool is that?
To Conrad Thompson and Meghan Fliehr, congratulations on your engagement, and Conrad thank you for all of the entertainment and congratulations on all of your success from SportSmasher.com. “The Alabama Dream” is living out every wrestling fan’s dream.
