ZanesvilleTimesRecorderA former full-time substitute teacher at Maysville Local Schools pleaded not guilty to nine counts of sexual battery against two students. Darci L. Lake, 23, of Zanesville, appeared Wednesday in Muskingum County Common Pleas Court for arraignment. She faces a maximum possible of five years in prison for each count. Maysville Superintendent Ruth Zitnik said the district has cooperated fully with law enforcement in their investigation. Zitnik said Lake was hired through a company that staffs districts with substitute teachers throughout the state, and Lake is no longer contracted with Maysville. According to the indictment, each of the two victims were students in the district. One was 16 years old and turned 17, and one was 14 years old and turned 15. Lake was 22 years old when the offenses began, according to the indictment. Seven of the nine counts listed in the indictment occurred between Feb. 1 and Nov. 1, 2017. The other two counts occurred between March 1 and Aug. 31, 2017.
Another day, another young female teacher getting arrested for having sex with her students, this time the offending teacher is 23-year-old Darci Lake, who was a full time substitute teacher at Maysville High School in Zanesville, Ohio. Lake is accused of having sex with a 16-year-old student who turned 17-years old during their inappropriate relationship, then having sex with a 14-year-old student who turned 15-years-old during their inappropriate relationship, all while Lake was 22-years-old. As in many cases that we here at SportSmasher.com have seen in which a teacher gets arrested for having sexual with their students, this is a victimless crime, these students got to live out every teenage boy’s fantasy by getting to bang their substitute teacher. The only pain that these boys will have to endure is shoulder pain, from all the high fives that they receive from their jealous classmates, to congratulate them for banging the substitute teacher.
