FoxNews Arkansas quarterback Cole Kelley has been arrested for driving while intoxicated, careless driving and other offenses in Fayetteville. A report filed by the Fayetteville Police Department says the 20-year-old redshirt freshman was booked at 8:47 a.m. Sunday. Bond for Kelly was set at $935 and records indicate Kelly was being held at the Washington County Jail two hours later. The police report says Kelley refused to take a breathalyzer test. Records indicate an initial court hearing for Kelley is scheduled Monday. In a statement, Arkansas head coach Bret Bielema says he’s aware of the incident involving Kelley and that the university is gathering information.
On Saturday the Arkansas Razorbacks were absolutely crushed by LSU 33-10, and to add insult to injury, quarterback Cole Kelley was arrested for drunk driving after the game. An officer saw Kelley drive with his two passenger side tires up on a curb around 4am, when he pulled Kelley over he noticed the quarterback had red and watery eyes, then after refusing a breathalyzer test Kelley was arrested. Chad Kelley did not start the LSU game, he served as the backup, but he did play the fourth quarter. Kelley has 1,038 passing yards and eight touchdowns to four interceptions on the 2017 season, he was ranked the 16th best quarterback in the class of 2016 by ESPN.
