WWE had a live event in Glasgow, and The Shield was a member short, because Roman Reigns is still sidelined with a nasty viral infection which decimated the WWE locker room. At the TLC pay-per-view Raw general manager and wrestling legend Kurt Angle made his WWE in ring return for the first time in eleven years to fill in for Reigns and joined The Shield, but WWE Executive Vice President Of Talent Triple H could not sit back and watch another legend steal the spotlight, so in Glasgow The King Of Kings decided to don the flak jacket and join The Shield. This is such a strange decision by the WWE, because although he has been off television Triple H’s current character is The Authority, the heel that we are supposed to hate, so seeing him join the face faction that he has been battling with for the last few years does not make a lot of storyline sense. Triple H just had a incredible year long feud with Seth Rollins, who calls himself The Kingslayer, end now he is pounding fists with Rollins in the middle of the ring. The Kingslayer and The Shield versus The King Of Kings and The Authority was a feud that still had life in it, but this video going viral seems to squash that, and has to make you wonder if Triple H will be returning to the ring as a face. It also puts into question the long rumored feud, Triple H versus Kurt Angle, legend versus legend at Wrestlemania. The WWE needed a replacement for Roman Reigns in a house show, to team with Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins against Sheamus, Cesaro and Bray Wyatt, but using the villainous authority figure does not seem to make a lot of sense from a storyline perspective, based on the history HHH and Stephanie have with the men he is bumping knuckles with in the video.
