The Seattle Seahawks believe that they can contend for the Super Bowl this season, but to do so, they needed to upgrade their injury ravaged offensive line and acquire a left tackle who can protect Russell Wilson. The Seahawks did just that, when they traded for three time Pro Bowl left tackle Duane Brown, but they paid a hefty price. The Seahawks had to give up cornerback Jeremy Lane, a 2018 fifth round pick, and the prize of this trade a 2019 second round pick. The Texans have one of the best young cores in the NFL, led by potential superstar quarterback DeShaun Watson, but they need to replenish their draft picks after trading up to get Watson and also giving up draft picks so the Browns would take Brock Osweiler off their hands. The Seahawks get a good player in Duane Brown, but they better hope he stays healthy, he is 32-years-old and has not played a sixteen game season since 2014. He also has played just one game this season. It’s funny that the Texans and Seahawks played the game of the year against each other yesterday, which the Seahawks won 41-38, and the two teams are trade partners today.
