I leave for only five days and come back to his ass wanting (and able) to roll! Unbelievable! Spare me the grappling lessons. The only things that are important: firing muscles that haven’t been used in a long time…and having fun! So awesome to see that smile and hear that laugh again. If I posted a video from day one and compared it to today…and you still didn’t believe in miracles…well, there’s nothing that’s ever going to change your mind. #believe #miracle #getreadyrenzo #superfight #adcc #onemoreround #ufc #hecanstillbeatmeup @renzograciebjj @ufc @matthughes9x

It has been over two months since UFC legend Matt Hughes was nearly killed when his truck collided with a train in Iowa on June 16th, and it was great to see a photo of Hughes last week as he recovers from his injuries, but now it seems that Hughes is really making progress. In this video, which was posted on Instagram by a close friend of Matt Hughes named Tony Zucca, it shows that amazingly Matt Hughes is already back on the mat and trying Jiu Jitsu. He’s training, he’s light rolling, and despite his significant weight and muscle loss Matt Hughes is still manhandling dudes where he feels most comfortable on the mats. This video is certainly encouraging, and it’s great to see that Matt Hughes is back doing what he loves, get well soon champ!
