FOX17 A lawsuit accuses two Tennessee Titans players of assaulting him outside a popular Nashville bar after a conversation about the 2017 NFL draft. Dante Satterfield filed a lawsuit Wednesday against Tajae Sharpe and Sebastian Tretola. The lawsuit claims that Satterfield was out at the Tin Roof Nashville with Sharpe and Tretola on April 28, where the group was discussing the addition of Corey Davis to the Titans in the first round of the draft. The conversation between the three became heated after Satterfield made comments about Sharpe getting less playing time because of the addition of Davis to the team. The lawsuit says it was understood by all partied that Sharpe was upset by the Titans’ selection of Davis. According to Satterfield’s lawsuit, Sharpe and Tretola told Satterfield to follow them outside the bar just after midnight. Satterfield says in the suit that he “believed the group was headed outside for lawful purposes.” Satterfield claims he was beat up by the two Titans players in the alley behind Tin Roof. The lawsuit says he was punched in the face to the point of unconsciousness by Sharpe while Tretola served as a lookout. A passerby spotted Satterfield unconscious and unresponsive and called 911. Satterfield’s lawsuit says suffered a concussion, broken bones in the face, massive facial bruising, a perforated eardrum, among other injuries. Satterfield filed the $500,00 suit for damages based on allegations of assault and battery, intentional infliction of emotional distress and civil conspiracy. “Through this brutal assault, Defendants caused Plaintiff to suffer physical trauma, emotional distress, humiliation, and further caused him to incur expenses in the form of time and money to treat his physical, mental, and emotional injuries,” the lawsuit reads. Sharpe’s agent gave a statement to Fox 17 saying the claims are false. “The claims are false and ridiculous,” Blaine Roche said. “Unfortunately this is a classic shakedown attempt. Tajae categorically denies any involvement whatsoever and looks forward to vindicating his name and focusing on what matters most – football.” The Titans also gave a statement saying the organization is aware of the lawsuit.
Tennessee Titans players wide receiver Tajae Sharpe and offensive guard Sebastian Tretola are being sued for $500,000 by a man named Dante Satterfield, who claims that while watching the 2017 NFL Draft at a Nashville bar, he was beaten to the point of unconsciousness by the players. The incident started when the Tennessee Titans drafted wide receiver Corey Davis with the fifth overall pick, Satterfield began harassing Tajae Sharpe, claiming that Sharpe was going to lose his job to the rookie out of Western Michigan. The lawsuit alleges that the Titans players were angered by Satterfield’s comments, and invited him outside of the bar, where Sebastian Tretola served as a lookout while Tajae Sharp beat the crap out of Satterfield. Both players say the lawsuit is without merit, that they were not involved in this incident whatsoever, and that the accusations are false. They expect to have their names cleared shortly.
