NYDailyNews Before Aaron Hernandez was accused of committing murder, he reportedly threatened the life of an NFL insider. In an interview with Sports Illustrated’s MMQB.com, NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, who covered the Patriots for the Boston Herald, talked about a time in the locker room the former star allegedly said he’d take his life if the reporter betrayed him. “When we first exchanged numbers, he called me over and said, ‘Hey, I just want you to know, you’re my guy. If you need anything, let me know, I will help you out if I can.” Rapoport said. “But I just want you to know, if you f— me over, I’ll kill you.” Rapoport tried to simply laugh off what Hernandez told him. CBS reporter William Bendetson was close by and heard the conversation, which would come back up when Hernandez became a murder suspect. “He was standing there and had listened and we kind of turned to each other and both laughed,” Rapoport recalled. “And then the first text I got after it became clear that Hernandez was the suspect in the murder investigation was from William Bendetson, who was like, ‘Hey, remember that day in the locker room?’” Hernandez was eventually found guilty of murdering Odin Lloyd in 2013. Despite being acquitted on double murder charges last week, Hernandez was still serving a life sentence for the crime against Lloyd when he committed suicide Wednesday morning by hanging himself in his jail cell. Hernandez was in the process of appealing that decision. It’s unknown what the impact of Hernandez’s suicide on his pending appeal in the Lloyd case will be.
Imagine being NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport, looking back in hindsight, and realizing that a convicted murder once threatened to kill you. Former New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez committed suicide by hanging in prison last week, while serving a life sentence without the possibility of parole for the murder of acquaintance Odin Lloyd, he killed himself shortly after he was acquitted of a separate double homicide. Looking back on his interactions with Aaron Hernandez, NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport remembered a time that Hernandez told him, “You’re my guy. If you need anything, let me know, I will help you out if I can. But I just want you to know, if you fuck me over, I’ll kill you.” Rapaport and Hernandez both laughed, but looking back on Hernandez’ threats and realizing that Hernandez has killed at least one person, Rapaport is probably pretty grateful that he never fucked Hernandez over.
P.S. It turns out Hernandez went gay for the stay in prison, he left three suicide notes in prison, one for his girlfriend one for his daughter and one for his gay lover. There are other rumors that Hernandez was always bi-sexual, and when Odin Lloyd found out about his lifestyle, Hernandez murdered him. New details are being released about Hernandez, his crimes and his lifestyle, and we continue to be shocked by the news.
