In the main event of WWE Monday Night Raw, Braun Strowman superplexed The Big Show, and the ring exploded. Both competitors were down, and as the ring buckled and broke, the referee was sent flying to the floor. Bodies everywhere. This was a nice conclusion to a rivalry of giants, The Big Show is “the world’s largest athlete” at 7-feet-tall and over 400lbs, while former World’s Strongest Man competitor Braun Strowman is 6-foot-8 and weighs 375lbs. The Big Show has passed the torch to Braun Strowman as the next generation of WWE monster, much like a young Big Show, Strowman has shocking athleticism for his size. It’s been a while since the WWE used the exploding ring gimmick, the last time it was done was 2013 when Brock Lesnar suplexed The Big Show, and the spot was used very well here to put the power of Strowman over.
P.S. We here at SportSmasher.com are huge fans of a good ref bump, so we have to acknowledge the work of referee John Cone in this match, what a ref bump!
