Recently retired Dallas Cowboys quarterback and the newest lead analyst for NFL On CBS Tony Romo warmed up with the Dallas Mavericks, and proved he can ball, which is not a surprise considering he averaged 24.3 points, 8.8 rebounds and 4.7 assists per game his senior year in high school while apparently going toe-to-toe with Caron Butler. There was some speculation that Romo might actually get a few minutes for the Mavs, but that is absolutely ridiculous, there is no way that the NBA could allow random celebrities to play actual game minutes from a liability standpoint. Also, the next thing you know, it would be “suiting up for the Lakers to promote his newest movie is Bradley Cooper!” If Romo gets a minute tonight, I’m going to need Michael Rapaport to suit up for our Knicks against the 76ers to ensure we lose the game and get a better draft pick.
P.S. If Tony Romo’s NFL career was paralleled in the NBA, he would have a career like Karl Malone, great numbers but huge errors at the worst times in playoff games that got his team eliminated.
P.S. If Eli Manning’s NFL career was paralleled in the NBA, he would have two buzzer beaters in game seven of the NBA finals to beat Michael Jordan.
