We all expected Washington Huskies wide receiver John Ross was fast, but he just unofficially ran a blazing 4.22 40-yard-dash at the NFL Combine, which would break Chris Johnson’s record of 4.24 set in 2008.
What makes John Ross so interesting as a prospect is, he is not just fast, the guy is a great football player. John Ross caught 81 passes for 1,150 yards and 17 touchdowns during the 2016 season, so while he has incredible speed, he is more than just a speed guy.
John Ross suffered a calf cramp during his record breaking 40-yard-dash, and won’t run a second 40 in Indianapolis, he said he could have run faster if his calf did not cramp up.
If the 4.22 40-yard-dash time holds up, John Ross could have won island or a million dollars from Addidas if he wore their shoes, but John Ross wore Nikes at the NFL Combine.
