The New Orleans Saints defeated the Arizona Cardinals 48-41 in the highest scoring game of the 2016 season, but everyone is talking about a play in the fourth quarter, when the Saints pulled Mark Ingram at the two yard line in favor of Tim Hightower which led to an epic tantrum by Ingram on the sidelines. Hightower scored a touchdown on the play, but during this time an irate Mark Ingram was screaming at Sean Payton on the sideline, upset that Hightower stole his touchdown. There was a report that Ingram was upset because he had incentives in his contract tied to touchdowns, but this was later proven false, all incentives in Ingram’s contract are tied to yards and not touchdowns. Maybe Ingram was just upset for all of his fantasy football owners, who lost in the playoffs, because Tim Hightower vultured his touchdown.
Note: Mark Ingram later approached Tim Hightower on the sideline, and congratulated him on the touchdown, so his beef was with Payton and not Hightower.
