NYDailyNews A passenger on a CTA bus in Chicago injured two people in a vicious attack involving a bag of frozen chicken. Caleb Russell, 27, was arrested last week after beating a 48-year-old female passenger and then a 52-year-old bus driver. The driver suffered multiple injuries to his head and face. Russell allegedly tried to flirt with the female passenger, who was not interested in the advance, according to dnainfo.com. Once denied, Russell reacted by attacking her with a bag of frozen chicken, according to Assistant State’s Attorney Erin Antonietti. That’s when the male driver intervened, allegedly stopping the bus to defuse the situation between Russell and the woman. Russell turned his attention to the driver and beat him with the bag, along with delivering punches and kicks. The driver was beaten so badly that he lost a tooth, needs corrective gum surgery and suffered a broken nose and jaw, according to DNA Info. Police apprehended Russell and brought him to a nearby hospital for psychiatric evaluation, according to court testimony. He was charged with battery and aggravated battery to a transit employee. A Cook County judge set the bail at $100,000, according to DNA Info. In 2014, Russell was involved in another bizarre incident, having been arrested for threatening to blow up a CTA bus. It ended up being a false bomb threat, but Russell allegedly shouted it was “jihad against the white devil,” according to DNA Info. He was sentenced to two years in prison for the ordeal.
A Chicago man named Caleb Russell tried to flit with a woman on a city bus, but when the woman denied his sexual advances, Caleb Russell attacked her with a bag of frozen chicken. The bus driver intervened and tried to help the woman, but he too was attacked by Russell with the bag of frozen chicken, and the bus driver needed to be hospitalized after suffering a broken nose and jaw plus he lost a tooth. Of course, attacking a bus driver comes with serious penalties in Chicago, and Caleb Russell will likely pay dearly for his frozen chicken assault.
