Tennesseean The Titans have traded wide receiver Dorial Green-Beckham to the Eagles for offensive lineman Dennis Kelly.
In a bit of surprising news this morning, the Tenessee Titans have traded wide receiver Dorial Green-Beckham to the Philadelphia Eagles in exchange for offensive lineman Dennis Kelly. Dorial Green-Beckham has a ton of potential, the former top recruit in the nation looks the part at 6’5 235lbs, but he had multiple off field issues that got him dismissed from the University of Missouri, and after the Titans drafted Dorial Green-Beckham in the second round of the 2015 NFL Draft he had 32 catches for 549 yards and 4 touchdowns as a rookie. Dennis Kelly was a fifth round pick of the Philadelphia Eagles on the 2012 NFL Draft, and the versatile offensive lineman is capable of playing either guard or tackle. Dorial Green-Beckham should have more opportunities to live up to the hype in Philly, which figures to have a more pass heavy offense, and their wide receiver depth chart lacked a big target. The Eagles top receiver from 2015, Jordan Matthews, has been sidelined with a knee injury and although he is expected to be ready for the opener this trade may hint at concern over Matthews’ recovery from the organization.
