It’s Super Bowl Sunday. That means beer, wings, and unnecessary gambling. Here are the prop bets I’m taking in today’s big game:
Julius Thomas – Player to Score First TD: At 15/2, the odds aren’t the best available… but I have a gut feeling here.
Russell Wilson OVER 210.5 Passing Yards: Despite Homer Simpsons’ low scoring prediction, I’m thinking the NFL is going to want a high scoring cold weather game here. 210 yards for a QB is a cake walk in today’s game.
Russell Wilson Longest Rush OVER 12.5 Yards: Denver will bring pressure and Wilson can escape with his feet. This should result in at least 1 nice scramble.
Marshawn Lynch OVER 90.5 Rushing Yards: Beast. Mode.
Percy Harvin OVER 4 Receptions: I think SEA will use Harvin alot today. Not a ton of game tape in this offense for DEN to study. Harvin could be an offensive game changer today.
Peyton Manning UNDER 290.5 Passing Yards: Odd gut feeling here.
Montee Ball UNDER 34.5 Rushing Yards: I don’t think DEN will trust the rookie much with such an important game on the line.
Wes Welker OVER 57.5 Receiving Yards: DEN will need to rely on Welker and the TEs given the secondary of SEA.
Julius Thomas OVER 55.5 Receiving Yards: Big day ahead for this Thomas.
Seattle Seahawks Sacks: ZERO Sacks at 4-1 Odds: Peyton Manning has yet to be sacked this post season, I think he gets rid of the ball quickly and does not take many hits.
Other props that have nothing to do with Football…
Will Knowshon Moreno cry during the singing of the National Anthem – NO: Yes is a sucker bet given all the media attention his tears got recently.
How many times will Eli Manning be shown on TV during the game? OVER 1.5: In his home stadium… 100% an OVER here.
What will happen with the Dow Jones the day after the Super Bowl? DOWN: b/c Obama or something
