TMZ Former WWE champion Matt Hardy was arrested at a motel in Virginia earlier this month … after allegedly getting into a fight with his wrestler wife … TMZ Sports has learned. Just look at the mug shots of Hardy and 27-year-old Reby Sky — both appear bloody and scratched up. Hardy has multiple scratch marks all over his face and Sky — real name Rebecca Hardy — appears to be sporting a fat lip, black eye and several small cuts on her face.Law enforcement tells TMZ Sports … cops raced to the Hampton Inn in Emporia, VA on January 1st around 5:45 AM after someone at the hotel call 911. During the 911 call, obtained by TMZ Sports, the hotel staffer told the operator … “A guest just came down here and said somebody’s beating the hell out of his wife a girl or something.” When cops arrived to the scene, both Matt and Sky were arrested for assault and battery. They were released on $3,500 bail. Our sources tell us both Matt and Sky got restraining orders against each other. Since the incident, both Matt and Reby have posted photos of each other — and it appears they are still together and going strong.
We discussed Reby Sky on this site a long time ago, calling her the New York Giants hottest fan, back in her modeling days and before she became a professional wrestler. It looks like she got the better of her husband, former WWE Tag Team Champion Matt Hardy, during this brawl. Obviously you never hit a woman, and Reby Sky did end up with a black eye, but Hardy looks like he got the crap kicked out of him. Do not mess with Reby Sky. This is, of course, not Matt Hardy’s first run in with the law, not by a long shot:
Wikipedia Hardy was arrested on August 20, 2011 for driving while intoxicated after crashing into a tree, and was released by TNA shortly later. Hardy was later also charged with reckless driving, with a hearing scheduled to take place October 11. Four days later, Hardy was rushed to an emergency room, after falling down in his house. On August 30, Hardy posted a video on his YouTube channel, which has since been taken down by the site, implying that he was about to commit suicide: “Goodbye, World… My time here is Almost complete… I only have a few hours & minutes… I loved you all… Regardless of how you felt about me… I’ll miss you all… September 23, 1974 – August 31, 2011.” The video sparked 25 to 30 phone calls to 911 to check on Hardy’s well being. Police checked on Hardy and confirmed that he was not planning to commit suicide, with the video apparently being a hoax by Hardy. The stunt drew much criticism; his sister-in-law Beth Britt claimed that “the f—ing joke is over. Stop trying to work the internet.” and WWE commentator Jim Ross commented that the “Matt Hardy fiasco [was] totally embarrassing and inexplicable”, asking for Hardy to “seek answers”. Hardy later claimed on Twitter that the “YouTube Video was not in any way a suicide note.. No words such as death, suicide, kill, heaven or hell were included”, and defended his actions as he “needed one last attention grabber to let the World know that Matt Hardy has re-found his true self.” On September 12, 2011, Hardy was arrested on another DWI charge, with a court date set for November 30. Hardy was arrested for the third time in a month on September 14, when his girlfriend Reby Sky called 911, claiming that he was “strung out on pills and needed help”. Police found 20 vials of anabolic steroids, one dose of ecstasy, drug paraphernalia and $1,900 in cash after conducting a search of his home. Hardy was arrested on charges of possession with intent to sell or deliver a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance, maintaining a drug dwelling and possession of drug paraphernalia. On September 19, Hardy announced that he was going to check himself into a WWE-sponsored rehabilitation center for the next three months. It was later reported that entering rehab was one of the conditions for Hardy’s release from custody on his latest arrest. On November 19, Hardy was kicked out of the rehabilitation center, with a month left to complete the program, for failing a breathalyzer test. Following this, Hardy was arrested for violating the court order when he returned to Moore County in North Carolina, and was put in the Moore County jail on a $1.0 million bond. On November 29, Hardy was released from jail on the condition that he complete his court-ordered drug rehabilitation, and his bond from $1.0 million to $100,000, which Hardy posted in order to be released to rehab. If Hardy failed to complete rehab, he would have been jailed again, but on a reduced bond of $250,000. Hardy completed rehab at the end of December 2011.
