AL.com As Oregon dismantled Tennessee 59-14 last month, its fans had one clear message: “We want Bama.” They still do. Per the Daily Emerald, Oregon seniors Grant Otter and Harrison Tingler turned the chants into “We Want Bama” T-shirts. The $10 shirts are going at a brisk pace. Almost 200 have been sold and another 400 are on the way, per the report. “Outside of Oregon, everybody else in the country thinks that Alabama is the best team in the country and we obviously disagree,” Tingler told the Emerald. “I was wearing the shirt on campus walking down 13th. I don’t know who it was but a big football player walking sees my shirt and goes, ‘Damn straight,'” Otter said.
Be careful what you wish for, Ducks, you just might get it. Seriously though, I think that they should start selling “We Want The Ducks” shirts at Alabama, and I support both because this is the matchup that the entire country wants to see for the BCS Title. Two excellent quarterbacks at the height of their powers, the unstoppable force of Oregon meets the immovable object of Alabama, the PAC-12 as a speedy underdog against the heavy handed longtime champ the SEC. Nobody screw this up, this game needs to happen, don’t give the NCAA any opportunity to deprive the unwashed masses of this game. If the NCAA had the chance, they will screw this game up, based in their track record.
