In one of the most inspiring things we here at SportSmasher.com have ever seen, the Arizona State Sun Devils will be led onto the field by Pat Tillman every home game, as his image has been placed at the end of the tunnel the team uses to access the field. The following image was tweeted by the Sun Devils equipment manager (@SunDevilEquip) which shows Tillman waiting at the end of the tunnel, ready to lead the team into battle. Tillman, of course, played his college football at Arizona State where he was the 1997 PAC-10 Defensive Player of the Year. He was a successful NFL safety, and left millions of dollars on the table, to enlist in the military in 2002. Pat Tillman was killed in active duty while protecting our freedom in Afghanistan on April 22nd, 2004. Arizona State should never lose a home game again, they are being led onto the field by not only a fallen alumni, but an American hero.
