Sun-Sentinel Deputies said Monty Ray Grow, a Redington Beach man, left a three-year-old girl in the car unattended while he went into a Diamond Dolls, a Clearwater strip club, on Sunday night, according to a news release from the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office. The child’s grandparents were already on the scene when deputies arrived. As deputies were investigating the report, the 41-year-old man, a former Florida Gator who also played for the Jacksonville Jaguars in ’95 and the Kansas City Chiefs in ’94, according to ESPN, reportedly ran up to the car and admitted to leaving the child unattended, according to the Sheriff’s Office. The child was uninjured. Grow was arrested for child abuse, records show. Anybody ever hear of a babysitter?
“Wait right here honey, daddy just needs to run into Diamond Dolls to get a quick lap dance, don’t tell mommy. Maybe one day, when you’re all grown up, you can work at Diamond Dolls!”
I wonder of Monty Grow had a sense of urgency “Okay Sapphire, we need to make this quick, I’ve got my kid waiting in the car…is it cool if I change into sweatpants?”
Nice parenting by Monty Grow, he should have topped this incident off by telling his daughter “don’t touch the white powder on the dash board, that’s for daddy’s only.”
