You have got to be kidding me. I understand that LeBron James and Danny Green were teammates in Cleveland, when Green was a scrub but the Heat just ripped your heart out in an intense seven game series and you celebrate with them? This is what I hate about the NBA today, all of the players have known each other since AAU ball, and everyone is friendly.
Do you think that, when the New York Knicks lost to the Houston Rockets in game seven of the 1994 NBA Finals, Patrick Ewing, John Starks and Charles Oakley rushed to the club to congratulate Hakeem Olajuwon? Hell no! If the ’94 Knicks ran into Hakeem in the club after that heartbreaking series loss, Oakley would have cracked a bottle over his head.
This makes me sick. The NBA needs a throwback to rivalries and legitimate bad blood. Hey LeBron, do you think Michael Jordan would party with a guy he just eviscerated in game seven of the NBA Finals? Absolutely not. You give the guy a smirk, a cold hard stare across the bar, and you flash his ring.
If you are Danny Green, you say something like “hold onto my trophy, I’ll be back for it next year, bitch” and shove a member of his entourage. Enough of this friendship bullshit.
