Garrard entered 2012 with the Miami Dolphins but was cut before the season started. He hasn’t been a reliable NFL QB since his days in Jacksonville. It looks like John Idzik is following through on his plan for the QB position in 2013. The Jets will enter the season with 5 QBs in training camp. None of them will be named Tim Tebow (who I am betting the Jets end up having to cut when nobody is dumb enough to trade for them). Sanchez will have earn the starting gig. Looks like against McElroy, Brady Quinn, maybe David Garrard and Matt Simms.
Looks like the Jets are going for a stop gap solution at QB and then (since they will be drafting really early in 2014), draft their next attempt at a franchise QB.
