Avert your eyes, do not stare directly at him, or you’ll suffer permanent retina damage!
Last night at The Clevelander Hotel night club in Miami Dan LeBatard columnist for the Miami Herald and frequent fill in host of ESPN’s Pardon the Interruption, dropped his robe to reveal his doughboy physique in nothing but a Speedo. HAZMAT teams are en route to disinfect the location, and a makeshift hospital and morgue has been assembled in a nearby parking lot to quarantine the sick and deceased.
Actually LeBatard was making good on a bet that he made with NBA Legend Charles Barkley during the 2011 NBA Finals, when Barkley picked the Dallas Mavericks and LeBatard picked the Miami Heat. As we now know, the Mavs beat the Heat in six games to win the NBA Championship, and the bet has been outstanding ever since.
The good news for LeBatard, he did not look as fat as he did a year ago, and he clearly used the outstanding bet hanging over his head as motivation to get his fat ass in shape. Maybe he used the Charles Barkley endorsed Weight Watchers program. The other good news for LeBatard is his beloved Miami Heat hold a 3-1 lead over the Oklahoma City Thunder in the 2012 NBA Finals, and can close out the championship tonight in Miami.
Today for this pudgy columnist, life is good, and I hope Tony Kornheiser and Michael Wilbon have him on as the guest for the 5 Good Minutes segment on Pardon the Interruption tonight.
